NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE INCREASES

If you are employing staff, and you are doing the payroll for them yourself, don’t forget that the National Minimum Wage Rates go up from this Saturday, the 1st April 2017. So, all hours worked from Saturday on must be paid at least the new minimum rates.
These new rates start at £3.50 per hour and go up to £7.50 for an employee aged 25 or over.
The new rates are shown on the table below.  It is a illegal to pay below the minimum wage and HMRC may publish your business name and impose penalties on a business that it considers has paid below the minimum wage.

So, don’t forget:  AS SOON AS THIS WEEKS PAY RUN IS DONE AMMEND YOUR PAYROLL SYSTEM TO ENSURE THAT ALL STAFF ARE PAID THE NEW RATES
